Peter David Hamilton Artist

Hello.

Nice to meet you.

My name is Peter, i am an Artist & Creative soul.

I was born on the 7th of May 1979 in Ashford, Kent, UK.

Currently i reside in St Michaels, Tenterden England. A small country village which has now become a home much loved.

The local woods, forrests, fields & wildlife are a constant source of creative inspiration to me, & so you can often find me out strolling in nature & marvelling at the beauty Mother Nature places all around us if only we care to look.

I first realized that i liked to draw & paint when i was still a very small child. It didn't take long for me to see that i was able to take the creative thoughts in my mind & turn them into pictures on paper, using whatever was around at the time, pencil, biro, crayons, paints etc, it didn't matter what the medium was, all i cared about was acting on this inner urge to create pictures of what was seen & felt in my mind & spirit.

At school of course the Arts were my best & favourite subjects, & honestly they were the only classes i genuinely looked forward to & enjoyed. In my final year of High School i began to take additional Art classes in the evenings & it was here that my skills began to expand more, i have to thank my old art teachers for all their encouragement & support, they helped me to see & cultivate my talent which helped give me the confidence to try new things.

The older i grew the more art i was creating, i was learning & teaching myself also as i went, by the time i was in my teens i was spending long hours creating complex & detailed pointillist ink & mixed media drawings, i also began doing commissions for friends & family, this carried on until around the age of 19yrs when i decided i wanted to study at Art College.

This choice was far more than just a choice to study Art further, but really it was a choice that helped me step into a whole new world of seeing & understanding, i relocated to the London suburbs, leaving home for the first time, moving from a sleepy seaside town to a bustling inner city environment, it was a most exciting change for me, as i met other artists of my age & began to broaden my art style & even my own mental concepts of what i believed i could accomplish.

I attended Orpington College & studied Advanced Art & Design.

Here i got to study a large range of areas such as, Graphic Design, Painting & Drawing, Print Making, Sculpture, Photography & Art History to name just a few.

All of this study & previous experience helped me to build upon & expand my own personal art style, which continues to grow & morph to this day.

Art has proved to be a constant throughout my life, & even during the hard times that life often throws at us, i have always found answers & healing through the magical & mysterious creative force that flows through our souls, this force is able to mend & refine the soul in ways that words & deeds alone cannot hope to achieve.

Most of my work is accomplished with Acrylic paint, however i also use, pencil, inks, pastels, & various mixed media combinations, in the near future i will also be incorporating olis into my repertoire.

I have a love for the pointillist technique also (many dots placed close together to create an image) & so you will see this technique in many of my pieces, some of my work is Abstract, you will also see Realism & Fantasy art works in my collection.

Currently i work from the peaceful sanctuary of my home & ship my original paintings all over the world.
